Dearly beloveds,

I think love and being loved is the basic need of every human being. When you know that you are in love or being loved by someone, you feel happy.

Therefore, we need to express our love to those who are dear to us regularly. Day like Valentines serves as a good reminder for us to do so. But don't limit only to that day. I hope you are now thinking of someone (i.e.husband, wife, mom, dad, son, daughter,...) to whom you like to express that special feeling you
have for him/her. If you are also thinking of how you are going to do that, may I suggest that you can begin with the language of love. Do you know his/her language of love? Do something that will speak "love" to him/her. Here are the five "languages of love" according to Dr. Gary Chapman, the author of the book "Five Love languages":

  1. Words of Affirmation, say something loving & encouraging, like "I love you. I thank you so much for being....."
  2. Quality Time, set a time & place and just enjoy being with him/her, or taking a walk.
  3. Receiving Gifts, send her/him something she/he likes, it is not about the price but the thought that count.
  4. Acts of Service, take out the trash, wash the dishes, cook a meal, give her a massage...
  5. Physical Touch, give him/her a bear hug, husband: hold her hand like you did during your courting days....

"God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in Him."
"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear,..."
"We love because He first loved us." (I John 4:16-19)

I encourage you to love someone today and be ready for a very pleasant surprise!
